Precision Machining of Aluminum occurs when skilled machinists harness the capabilities of advanced CNC machining centers. The combination of human ingenuity and superior equipment makes the seemingly impossible become reality.

This satellite component is machined to meet the critical demands of space. Starting with a 67 lb block of 6061-T6 aluminum, the final "hogout" weighs only 2.3 lb. It is ultra-lightweight, highly rigid and exceptionally flat. The entire bottom surface has a 32 microinch finish and is flat within .008". Walls are milled as thin as .050" thick. There are no burrs. The threaded holes have stainless steel helical inserts for added strength. The protective black anodize (MIL-A-8625, Type II, Class 2) finish includes masked (MIL-C-5541 Class 3) zones for conductivity.

Our automated CNC Machining FMS is setup for prototype and production. The two cells and sixteen pallets provide 24-7 "Lights Out" capability. Complete design, assembly and finishing services are available. Full CMM inspection capabilities complement manufacturing. MIL-Spec or commercial, WAYNE will satisfy your turnkey machining needs.
